How to Measure Nonprofit Impact Beyond Views

The short answer

This week I set up Love Aid Foundation's first phone line, 903-LOVEAID. Watching it come together taught me that connection, not views or impressions, is the real way to measure impact. Someone scrolling past your content hasn't made a deliberate choice the way someone who calls or reaches out has.

A forest green card reading: The Friday Letter, Count connections, not views. A row of weekday tiles, Friday lit orange, and theweb3family.com.

From The Friday Letter, my weekly email for nonprofit founders.

This week we’ve gotten our first phone line up for one of our nonprofits, Love Aid Foundation: 903-LOVEAID.

It’s great to see how connection is truly the way to measure charity.

Many people are measuring the impact of their efforts by the amount of views and impressions they get.

Frankly... someone scrolling past your content is not something that shows that someone is making a deliberate action towards your output.

When someone pushes past their monotony, and decides to take a step towards taking in more of your brand, and all that it produces, that’s when you know you’ve truly hit the point of “impact.”

I would love to hear more about the impact you all made this week. Reply to The Friday Letter, or join it here if you aren’t on the list yet.
